Palace Skateboards will be expanding its exposure onto the endurance racing scene while Mercedes-AMG finds a path into the world of streetwear.

New Partnership

The partnership between Mercedes-AMG and London-based Skateboard and streetwear brand Palace was announced to the world in a fun teaser video that shows the Mercedes-AMG GT3 race car making its way out of the garage and onto the tarmac on the legendary Nürburgring Nordschleife race track with a striking new livery. 

Kicking Things Off

The outside-the-box livery design represents the brand identity of Palace. And AMG executives are happy with the potential new demographic group they can be targeting with this partnership. The livery will make its official race debut with the Mercedes-AMG Team HRT number 6 car. The GT3 will take part in the ADAC Total 24-hour race at the Nürburgring on June 4th.

Bold Colors

The "Green Hell" has served as the proving grounds of choice for AMG in recent years. So what better place to celebrate the collaboration with Palace than on the 13-mile track. The most prominent feature in the design has to be the face of the tiger that graces the hood. The wild new livery features bright orange, purple, and black all around. These hues represent a connection with the tiger and the colors of a sunset in the predator's natural habitat in the Indian savannah.

New Line of Clothing

Parallel to the on-track debut of the Palace AMG GT3, the British company will also be releasing a new line of clothes and accessories that share a theme with the race car. The new products will go on sale on the same day as the race on the 4th. Representatives of both brands spoke highly of the other, as well as the partnership. Palace expressed their excitement saying "We love working with the best in their field, and AMG is just that. We are very proud to be participating in such a great motorsport event as the ADAC Total 24-hour race with a racing car that bears our rowdy livery.”

Expanding AMG's Target Market

Philipp Schiemer, Chairman of the Board of Management of Mercedes-AMG GmbH also had some words to say on the new collaboration: "The partnership with Palace underlines the transformation of our Mercedes-AMG brand towards more lifestyle. We are opening up to new target groups and sending out strong signals with spectacular and surprising campaigns that further sharpen the brand orientation of Mercedes-AMG."
