The New Monstrous Mercedes-AMG G63 6×6

Sadly, it's only just an artistic depiction.

An Inspiration

When the Mercedes-AMG G63 6X6 first debuted in 2012, the world was left in awe as this was the first time anything like that was being done by a luxury car brand. The six-wheel-drive Gelandewagen became such a popular and extravagant off-roader that Mercedes had to bring it back for the G500. It inspired tuners across the world who ended up giving the same treatment to other vehicles, such as the Hennessey Velociraptor 6X6. We are back again this year with another inspired G63 6X6.

An Artistic Representation

Often, we get to see aggressively-tuned SUVs grace our screens courtesy of eccentric petrol heads from across the globe. This time, it's not the case. The Mercedes-AMG G63 6X6 depicted here is only but an artistic representation. As much as we would wish to have it come back, chances are slim as Mercedes already discontinued the model in 2015 with the aim of maintaining its exclusivity.

Photoshop

The rendering is thanks to the folks at Car News Network who seem to have done a brilliant job with their Photoshop skills. The monstrous body seems to have been graced with the face of the all-new G63, making it look like a modern version of the original model. The work is simple but may require a few extra touches. We are, however, not complaining.

Visual Effect

If you swipe through the images, you'll realize that the original photo does differ quite a bit from the fresh pixels of the new artistic impression. The former has the original grille from Mercedes-AMG and has been flipped to bring out the overall visual effect.

Miniature Version

This 2019 Mercedes-Benz G63 6×6 form takes us back to the miniature version of the standard G wagon that was brought to the world through a transformed Suzuki Jimny. While the world continues to produce shady replicas on a regular, we cannot discount the fact that this Suzuki Jimny was also well-tuned.

Cloning Relationship

Fans saw the Suzuki Jimny as a baby G-Wagon. It had a boxy design meant to match the rugged off-road capabilities depicted by the original G63. The aftermarket industry has done quite a good job of taking advantage of this replication. While there's no kit that turns a G-Wagon into a Jimny, a good number exists if you'd like it the other way round.

Interesting Encounter

Early this year, there was an interesting encounter between the original Mercedes-AMG G-Wagon and its miniature version, the transformed Suzuki Jimny. The guys at Liberty Walk decided to take the two out for a photoshoot. It was clear that even with similar features, the scale difference couldn't be hidden. A complete replica couldn't be delivered since a perfect copy of the AMG G-Wagon wasn't entirely possible.

The G63 6×6

Back to our artistic rendering. The conversion originated from China - where there have been cases of copyright and trademark infringements in the past. It has been done wholly, covering even the wheels of the mighty G63 6×6 off-roader.
