Strict 450-unit cap for 2026 Arctic Silver Edition

Mercedes-AMG has unveiled a new, highly limited version of its full-size performance SUV: the GLS 63 Manufaktur Arctic Silver Edition. Set to arrive in U.S. showrooms in late 2025, the model will see just 450 examples produced globally. It continues the Mercedes tradition of pairing its high-performance AMG lineup with the bespoke customization division, MANUFAKTUR, to create editions that go far beyond standard models in visual detail and rarity.

Cirrus Silver Magno defines the Arctic Silver Edition’s exterior

At first glance, the most obvious departure from a standard GLS 63 is the paint: Manufaktur-exclusive Cirrus Silver Magno. But the special finish is only one component of a broader, heavily coordinated design treatment. The SUV wears 23-inch matte black wheels with red accents, matching red brake calipers, and blacked-out elements courtesy of the AMG Night Package. These include dark chrome tailpipes, gloss black wing mirrors and front splitter, and matte black roof rails, all intended to sharpen the visual aggression.

Carmine Red and Black dominate the customized cabin

Inside, the Arctic Silver Edition follows through with a dramatic color scheme. Upholstered in diamond-quilted Carmine Red and Black Nappa leather, the cabin continues the red-black contrast seen on the exterior. A red-accented carbon fiber dashboard trim — exclusive to this edition — enhances the cabin’s bespoke character. Other details include AMG Performance steering, illuminated AMG-branded MANUFAKTUR door sills in black, and deep-pile floor mats. The goal seems clear: reinforce the sense of uniqueness from every angle.

Same 603-hp V8 and performance specs remain

There are no changes under the hood — and none are needed. The GLS 63 retains its 4.0-liter twin-turbocharged V8, delivering 603 horsepower and 627 lb-ft of torque. Paired with a 9-speed automatic and AMG’s performance-oriented 4MATIC+ all-wheel drive, the SUV can launch from 0 to 60 mph in just 4.1 seconds, according to Mercedes. That keeps it highly competitive in a segment shared with rivals like the BMW ALPINA XB7 (631 hp) and the Range Rover SV (606 hp).

Maybach still holds the price ceiling for GLS variants

While pricing for the Arctic Silver Edition hasn't been officially released, expectations place it deep into the $170,000 range when options are included. That still puts it below the Maybach GLS 600, which starts at $178,450 and remains the most expensive GLS on the market. Mercedes has not made a habit of announcing the exact cost of MANUFAKTUR editions, but the combination of rarity, custom interior, and specialty paint ensures this AMG version occupies a premium tier of its own.

Luxury and performance with a narrow keyhole of access

The 2026 Mercedes-AMG GLS 63 Manufaktur Arctic Silver Edition doesn’t reinvent the SUV’s engineering, but it does provide an almost obsessive level of visual distinction. With only 450 units available worldwide and a curated package of interior and exterior details, this limited-edition model targets buyers who want both high-performance capability and unmistakable individuality — and who are willing to pay a substantial premium for both.
