A Knightly Farewell to Mercedes-AMG

Sir Lewis Hamilton, a seven-time Formula 1 World Champion, is set to leave Mercedes-AMG Petronas after an illustrious 11-year career. To commemorate his remarkable achievements, German tuner Hof has unveiled the "Sir Class," a modified Mercedes-AMG G63 that represents both Hamilton's racing legacy and his enduring ethos. Debuting at the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix—Hamilton's final race with the Silver Arrows—the Sir Class captures the essence of a champion's journey.

From AMG to Unprecedented Power

At the heart of the Sir Class lies a completely re-engineered 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 engine. Enhanced with forged aluminum pistons, stronger connecting rods, advanced turbos, and custom software, the engine now delivers an awe-inspiring 1,063 horsepower and 959 lb-ft of torque—nearly double the factory output. This powerhouse rockets the SUV from 0-62 mph in just 3.5 seconds, with a staggering top speed of 186 mph, making it the fastest G-Class to date.

Craftsmanship in Carbon Fiber

Hof's work extends beyond performance, with a striking carbon fiber body kit enhancing both aesthetics and aerodynamics. New wheel arches, side skirts, and a vented carbon hood amplify the SUV's visual impact, while a signature paint finish transitions from silver to black, echoing Mercedes-AMG's F1 livery. Petronas teal accents grace the badges and 23-inch wheels, paying homage to Hamilton's racing colors.

Racing Technology Meets Luxury

Inside, the Sir Class blends luxury with cutting-edge design. Teal stitching accents leather and Alcantara surfaces, while the headliner features a stitched graphic of the Yas Marina Circuit, a nod to the venue's significance in Hamilton's career. Adding a futuristic touch, the "Starry Sky Ceiling" mirrors Rolls-Royce’s Starlight Headliner. The centerpiece, however, is an F1-style butterfly steering wheel, crafted from carbon fiber and Alcantara—one of only two such designs across Mercedes' lineup.

A Limited Edition for the Legacy

Hof’s Sir Class production is as exclusive as Hamilton’s achievements, with only 11 units planned—symbolizing his 11 seasons with Mercedes-AMG. Priced at $690,000, each vehicle reflects the combination of elite engineering, iconic design, and personal inspiration that defines Hamilton’s legacy.

The Final Lap

The Sir Class is more than just a vehicle; it’s a tribute to one of the greatest F1 drivers of all time. As Hamilton transitions to Ferrari, this extraordinary SUV cements his indelible mark on motorsport history while offering a tangible reminder of his triumphs, resilience, and enduring influence.
