.... nothing to brag about, it is a previous model....
Anyone with W210 722.6 tranny dipstick?
I was wondering if anyong purchased a transmission dipstick for W210-722.6?
If you do, can you do us a favor?
Measure the exact length from top to buttom?
And Fluid Level distance?
I am cheap.... I want to get a flex metal cable from Homedepot and made one myself.

I just ordered one today. I'll be happy to post the details when it arrives - bottom to each marking and temp indicator. Maybe someone smarter than me can build a bunch and sell 'em here

I'll check it for you. Overall length isn't critical....it just bottoms out when it hits something in the trans...the entire length does NOT push all the way in.

But how long the stick anyway? (so I know how long I should buy the flex cable)

I'm assuming that stick you bought is the "workshop tool" used by the dealers to measure tranny fluid level. If it bottoms out before inserted entirely then I suppose they take the measurement from when it hits pan?
No_clue, I don't think you can fabricate an accurate dipstick from those dimensions. You'll need to know the length of the section that won't insert, no?
If/when you make one I'd like to see the completed project too, as I plan on changing my fluid within the next 5k miles or so.
P.S. MB is using a NEW 'no scheduled maintenance' tranny fluid in the new 7 speeds -- also backward compatible with 722.6 and others. (see pic)
Good Luck

The tip of the "tool" bottoms out in the pan. There's a long section flopping around that doesn't enter the dipstick tube when fully inserted.
