evosport - Line Lock kit for you drag racing fanatics!

Go to the drag strip and try to do a burn out with your mercedes and you will quikcly find out that it is very hard. The car will rock and buck and if you CAN get it to stand still, you will kill your rear rotors!

Well, we have fixed that. Most drag racers use what is called a line lock kit. This kit will essentially lock the front brakes and allow you to release the rear brakes and apply the throttle.

The big problem however, has been that Mercedes uses a very odd-ball and rare brake line fitting. As such, a standard line lock kit will not work. We have solved the issues, and have assembled a very complete kit.

Here are some pics and videos (divx .avi files for download) of one of our CLK63 BS customers using the Line Locks:

We have made this a kit now available for your Mercedes. This is on the shelf (in stock) and ready to go.

Here are pics on the CLK63:

This kit is $395. Please contact me to order. It is not on the website yet, sorry.

Thanks
Brad

Nice work, Brad. Looks top notch as usual. Those little rounded NPT fittings are a PITA, huh ??

Are you selling the Evosport kit ? If not, very poor taste to advertise your product in another sponsors thread...

No I'm sorry there just is not a lot of margin available on this product as that would be way below my cost, evosport always prices there products very competitively for the consumers.

haha ok, hope you didnt stock to many. most everyone knows you can buy a similer kit anywhere for under $65 shipped.

the shops need to start relizing the market is changing and if they dont adapt they will not last. well in the e55 market.

thx for the quick response james

...the stainless braided lines alone are $65. Please show me another SIMILAR kit that is $65. Good example of, "you get what you pay for".

Just to give you a general idea,

I'm guessing the solenoids cost roughly $35-50 each, SS brake lines are roughly $65 to $90 for the pair, the High-Speed Switch With Cord is roughly $50 from Jegs, a few NPT fittings roughly another $30 or so. Misc fuses and wires another lets day $5 to 10 bucks That all adds up to roughly $250 plus $300. Add in the fact that the shops need to make a little money for building the kit, and I see the $395 as a pretty fair price for this setup.

Just my .02

Why not put the car in dyno mode and do a normal burnout. It works and it's free. Am I missing something? I guess it could be a pain to disengage dyno mode after doing a burn out.

As Brad mentioned, you will kill the rear rotors.

Nice mod, congrats on being first to market.
